Litter is not a cleanliness problem. It is a disconnection problem, and Halifax has been living with it so long that most people stopped seeing it. World Litter Run and FundPlogging exist to make people see again, because the moment someone bends down to pick up a wrapper, something shifts in them and in the street around them. That shift is contagious. One person becomes ten, ten becomes a movement, and a movement becomes the kind of city where people feel a stake in what happens on their corner. We are not cleaning Halifax. We are reconnecting it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
